Getting job ready

Ive just enrolled in my last semester before graduating with a degree in Computer Science. Its an exciting time but i cant be sure i will be job ready at the end. A degree is definately good thing and gives a foundation that will last through out a career. However there is a down side, what is taught is often not up to date which is bad for working in tech. While many would say you don't need a degree many employers require them as a basic test whether they will consider you to begin with.
I have found a solution, ive been working through Free Code Camp free courses in front end development. Free code camp allows you to work through three certifications including Front End Certificate, Data Visualisation and Full stack certification. While it is very well structured and superior to other self paced learn to code website it's too front end focused for my interest.
To get around this i found this list of learning resources "Computer Guide: Computer Science and Web Development - Comprehensive path" that has been put together by students wanting a bit more.
This uses Free Code Camp projects together with other free online resources giving a more well rounded education. Once I'm finished my degree i will be moving onto the resources listed.
If i can get through the content and build a portfolio hopefully i will be job ready.
